When you make a booking through the Croc Hire Booking System, we collect:

Credit / debit card details To process payment for your hire and any additional charges

We collect this information directly from you at the time of booking through our third-party Booking System (Lockii). We do not store your full card details ourselves — payment processing is handled securely by the Booking System provider.

We also collect CCTV footage at both of our hire sites. This footage is collected for site security, trailer monitoring, and the investigation of damage or disputes. By accessing a Croc Hire site, you consent to being recorded by CCTV.

  • Send your booking confirmation, trailer number, and pickup instructions.

  • Investigate damage, disputes, or incidents in connection with your hire.
  • Comply with our legal obligations, including disclosures to police, the Australian Transport Authority, or other government agencies where required.

We may also use your contact details to send you marketing communications (including emails and SMS) about Croc Hire services, promotions, or new locations — but only where you have provided your consent to receive these. You can opt out at any time by contacting us directly.

CCTV footage may be shared with police, insurers, or other relevant authorities in connection with any damage, theft, or legal matter arising from a hire.

Your personal information is stored securely by the Lockii Booking System. Croc Hire takes reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
6.2
Payment card details are processed and stored by the Booking System's payment provider. Croc Hire does not retain your full card number.
6.3
CCTV footage is stored securely and retained for a reasonable period for security and dispute resolution purposes. Footage is not retained indefinitely.
6.4
When your personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected and we are not required by law to retain it, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
